Why my Blog was so Quiet.

The last time that I posted a Blog was on May 27th. And I am going to tell you why I had to put myself on a hiatus, and show up just now.

The past weeks, social media has been so loud because of the movement you probably know about – The Black Lives Matter movement.
I decided to support that Movement first because c’mon! We need equality. Racism has to stop. And our Black Brothers and Sisters should also be able to live life the way they deserve.

I also became mentally drained, and I felt burned out because I used to stay late at night doing what I can possibly do to help.

Disclaimer : I’m not blaming the movement, It was and it is my initiative to help.

I know I knew what I should prioritize first, and that is to help those who are in need.
So I decided to temporarily stop my blogging game first. And be active on Twitter and Instagram, sign petitions, Send emails, share what I can possibly share. etcetera.

I, then, realize that if it was overwhelming and a little traumatic for me, then what about to those people experiencing racial injustice first hand?

I thought of an Instagram project I wish I can accomplish very soon.
And it’s the #theprojectloveletter.
Anyone can participate, and it’s aim is to make social media a good place for Our Black brothers and Sisters to heal.
If you wanna join, You can do the following :

1. Make a graphic (your letter of love to black people typed on a plain pink image)
2. Post on your feed and put under #theprojectloveletter
3. You can also share to your followers so more people can join.

° ° ° ° ° °

The fight isn’t still over. There are lots of things which must still be fixed.
If you wanna do something or do more to support the movement, you can check the link. Here :

Launching The “Hustler Blogger Award” || Mechanics & Nominations

As I promised, I’ll be making my own blogger award because of my inactivity here in blogosphere, and right now, I’m making it happen. But if I would tell, I truly want to get the blogging vibes I’ve been getting before. And once I say blogging vibes, it’s the excitement of the beginning experience, something which I already lost. I want to bring life in the blogging space through this awarding, interact, and at the same time, motivate other hard working bloggers.
The reason why I called it “Hustler Blogger Award” is because I aim to give it to virtual space users out there who really keeps pushing not just for self-progress, but also to inspire other people through their website content.I’m super excited about this thing, and I’m trying to figure out how far this will reach. Any type of bloggers can be qualified for this award. Whether if it’s an informational blogger, writer, artist, entertainment blogger, fashion enthusiast and makeup reviewers, lifestyle blogger, et cetera. So if you’ll be nominated today, you can nominate anyone. I just need you to help me keep the chain flowing. 🙂

° ° ° ° °

So I think, I’m gonna drop down

the mechanics :

1. Make Sure to include this banner in your award post. You can make it the featured photo or you can just attach it along the blog post.

2. Be sure to give me (markanthonyswall.wordpress.com) pingback on your post, so I’ll be able to read ’emmm.

3. You can nominate numerous bloggers of your choice, but make sure it isn’t less than 5 people. ; and

4. Answer these questions :
° Why did you started a blog?

° What/who inspired you to do it?

° What motivates you to keep pushing and creating content and make your site alive?

° Who are your fave bloggers? And how do they urge you to grow as well?

° What lesson/s have you learned through your experience?

° Have blogging brought impact to you as a person? If yes, what are these?

° Not everyone are confident enough to start a blog. What advice can you give ’em?

° Give 3 facts about you as a blogger (strengths or flaws)

° Drop down your blog post which you are most proud of (together with the link so we can read it)

5. The person who’s being nominated, and who’s about to nominate can add one more question of his/her choice to his/her nominees. [your additional question here]

° ° ° ° °

You might as well ask why I added the ‘facts about yourself’ which can be strengths or flaws, the reason why I thought of that is because I want to point out something. Some of you may think, ‘oh they’re the best of the bests because they’re nominated for that award’. It’s not like that. I want everyone to know that nobody’s perfect in this game. The goal of this awarding is to inspire, not to make anyone envious about nothing.
Also there’s a link dropping along the awarding, because I truly want it to be a real spotlight for all of us. I want the posts which you are most proud of to be given love, and to be appreciated. You took effort for that, that post deserve recognition.
The fifth rule, is also a chance for the nominator to ask something extra to his/her nominees. I want everyone to have a chance to truly learn from others. Asking is knowledge, we all should know that.

So I think, it’s about time that we truly start this whole thing up:

* drumrolls * pls.

I nominate :

° ° ° ° °

Quite a lot, I know. Annddd, if you’re reading this right now, but wasn’t on the list, pls pls do this post as well because I nominate you for it. This is open for all of my readers. Bye, and I hope y’all will have fun.

A Little Virtual Talk

I honestly feel so stuck up…

° ° ° °

Hey people! *Argh* I honestly do not know how to start. I know that this is so random of me to show up on the blog again from being so MIA. I mean, I can give an excuse, C’mon I’m a graduating student 😂 life has been so busy lately. On the bright side tho, I’m just weeks away before graduation. 🎊 (or if it will continue, Corona Virus is tryin’ to hit it hard by placing on critical condition)

Everything was a roller coaster ride again. I was so Manic but had one breakdown. However, I just wanna share and acknowledge what I felt but don’t wanna talk too much because I might get so negative again. I- don’t want negativity in my blog, just so you know.

I think, if there’s something I am most happy about, that is the fact that I’m getting my creativity back to artistic illustrations and painting again. Drawing on paper is something which I really loved when I was a kid, and I’m so happy I’m giving myself the chance to experience it again. Nobody’s asking but I already made four artworks already, and I have one WIP. I also added a menu section in my site where I’ll be posting and sharing ’em, it is called ‘my artworks’.
But I think, what’s making me sad is the fact that I feel so stuck up. Everything seems to be a Work in progress lately, especially for my novel. I wasn’t adding any chapter, and I still am not adding any. It’s just… sad. I’ll try to be productive this vacation (summer) in terms of creativity, and that’s a promise. Because I think, I see myself as the type of person who should always be doing something, I should be always working on something which makes me excited to feel truly alive.

And by the way, talking about novel, all the bright places- the first ever book which I read, and which is my fave, has finally a movie. And it’s only available on freaking Netflix. And I freaking can’t watch. So I’m sad again. 😭 the best alternative tho, is to just reread it. So I may reread anytime, because I want to get all the feels again.

Nobody asks but for me, 2020 is working well. And I hope it does the same with you. One more thing, as this year started, I became obsessed with Nail Polish 💅, and I might color my nails again after this. lol.

Alright! Let’s talk about blogging now. Over the months, I became more and more less interactive in the blogosphere, and that is one of the things which makes me sad bc I think I’m being so unfair (especially, to those who read my posts.) so I got an idea to probably start an awarding. Yep, you heard that right. I’ll create my own blogger award, and I’ll give it to those people whom I know are deserving. Exciting! Don’t you think?
And also, whenever I post, You can always comment something you want together with the link leading to your blog post you want me to read. I think, that will make everything easy for me to manage. And once you do so, I’ll sure make time to check that out and show some loveeee. ♡

° ° ° °

So that’s it, for my li’l talk. Just to make my site alive again, and to update y’all about – me – my life – behind the scenes. (?)

Another update which I almost forgot: tho I said that 2020’s becoming great, I already feel like giving up on my glow-up list. You know, it’s just exhausting, and I feel like it’s just an addition to my responsibilities. Ha-ha hilarious. Btw, I’m also planning to get my tan this summer ☀. Ahhhhhhhkk

What is up with your life right now? Everything’s going well? Is 2020 treating you great? Share that with me, I’ll listen, and let’s have some coffee virtually.

Photo Editors I Use for an Aesthetic Instagram Feed

Keeping up with the Instagram game is quite uneasy. There can be scenarios where you might feel uncomfortable with the own feed you make, so you end up putting content and then hiding them after, putting up again, and hiding once again. Until you can’t anymore decide how to build your content together.
I think, this usually happens not because of lacking ideas, but because of cohesiveness problem- you can’t see your pictures match professionally.

Today, I’m sharing wit’ you the instagram editors I use so I can successfully put out cohesive aesthetic content.

° ° ° °

– i love this app so much. It’s super accessible and easy to use unlike other editors. The Free presets are fancy and the adjustments are easy to manipulate. It’s perfect if you want bright filters, and want the colors to pop up on your feed.

– lightroom is kinda more complex than VSCO in photo editing. But I love how this app can help with creating unique presets. It does suit well if you’re a fan of moody and aesthetic feed.

– This is what I use for stickers. It’s easy and free.

– app which I use for adding texts or captions over pics, to make it more aesthetic.

– I use Afterlight mainly for dusty vintage effect. But it also offer various filters, and has adjustments too.

– vaporcam is what I use to add effects over my pictures, like rainbow effect. It’s pretty cool and artsy.

Highlight cover maker

– highlight cover maker helps to give you access to create your own signature instagram highlights cover. It’s free, however, if you want to get the most of it, you can pay.

– Preview is a great application to use if you’re not a fan of spontaneous posting, and want your feed to be planned before getting it online. It gives you the chance to arrange your photos in advance, and allows you to see how your instagram feed will look like.

° ° ° °

Instagram tricks :

• you can use 3 various filters for as long as they suit to each other, so the feed will still be cohesive. (tbh, I use more than one filter on my photos)
• choose your content. (Examples: aesthetics, photographs, your face, outfits) then plan their arrangement.
• do not overuse stickers.
• post your own works as much as possible.
• edit depending on the quality of your pictures.
• you can watch editing tutorials on YouTube
• play around with different presets
• enjoy

That’s it y’all. If you have gram account, you can use e’rything that I shared. By the way, if you’re not following me, I’m @thonysthetically. Drop down your account username on the comments and I’ll sure check that out.

What Editor/s do you use for your photos? Using gram? What type of content are you posting in there?

Share that with me 💭

2019 Ended // 2020 and a Busier Life

Year 2019 has been a roller coaster for me, or maybe for you too. But whatever, it readily ended anyway. 😛

° ° °

Hello gorgeous people. I missed my blog and the blogosphere. And you all. I finally had the chance to make an update post again, and I can’t be thankful enough. Anyway, what’s going on?! (comment your answer for that)

So as I was talking about, 2019 has ended already and it was a roller coaster because life threw a lot of things which made it both beautiful and twisted. At some point, there are countless things which turned out great, and at some point; there are some which didn’t.
I got to celebrate the holidays with my family. On Christmas, I attended church (something which I honestly do not do much) and blasted Christmas Tree farm by Taylor Swift on Repeat 🎶. Christmas gave me a huge realization, it’s so positive. On New Year’s eve, I slept and just celebrated when I woke up at January 1st (morning) lol 😂

However, I had a struggle just after January 1st. It was both Mental and Emotional. I couldn’t quite pinpoint what was my reason/s. All I know, i was so worried and feeling messed up, and i was having this strange feeling towards the people around me. I also felt bad considering that it’s just the start of the new year but I already encountered negativity. I consulted my Instagram friends and they said, it can be anxiety- social anxiety, perhaps. But i don’t want to name it anxiety or any because I know having such isn’t easy. I’m trying to be positive as possible, and to cope up with it.
But you know, struggles are normal, and I don’t look to it as a reason to encourage failures. We shouldn’t force ourselves not to encounter such because it’s just impossible that we can prevent it from happening. What’s important is we overcome, and we do our best not to dwell on it.

This new year, I just Reorganized my bullet journal and set up new batch of goals for a healthier and more positive and productive lifestyle. I’m indeed excited being on track with my BuJo.
Also, I want y’all to know that my life rn is getting busier than it was before because I’m already working on things I really wanna work on, especially my novel, school, and soonest, for college. I’m graduating soon 🎊 (i can’t wait to leave my present school)
Maybe, I won’t be able to post regularly at all, unlike the way I was allowed before. Things are changing so much already, it’s something I was always expecting. You can assume that I miss everything about blogging when I’m not around blogosphere – because I will miss it. :’)
