Well, currently there’s a lot of things happening in the World, and honestly, it’s not healthy for us all. Especially to those who struggle with their mental health.

Due to everything going on, it’s hard being positive, but there we are trying.
So today’s post, will give you tips how to maintain stable mental health in year 2020

Tidy Room

-tidying room isn’t just making your resting place organize, it honestly can be a form of ritual. When you tidy your room- you arrange your bed, you arrange your things, you see that it’s clean, Your thought becomes clearer. You get this lighter feeling, and it really sinks to you that you have a well-organized life. It’s like you removed all the mess in your thought, as you did it with your room.

Get Sun

– Getting sun and connecting with Nature is the best way to release all the stress and tension that you carry. This process allows you to breathe, and see the light.

Journal

– Journaling helps you let go all the negativity in you. It helps you to stop bottling emotions, rants, circling thoughts, or any weight. When you write in a form like you’re talking to someone, you acknowledge yourself and you prevent yourself from keeping it alone.

Always Rehydrate Yourself

-Rehydrating yourself is a must. It gives you the energy + enables your brain to work.
The water needed by a person depends on his/her weight and level of activity. If you’re struggling to rehydrate yourself with the right amount of water, I recommend the application ‘Plant Nanny’, it’s a fun and exciting way to keep your drinking schedule on track.

Have break from social media/or maybe even from Television

– I’m gonna be candid, but Social media today is just full of both negative and sugarcoated things. Same way with Television, it brings awareness but all we hear are accidents, negative deeds, et cetera.
– taking break from both things, will bring you escape away from boosters of your anxiety or other mental struggle.

Turn your time into a creative process

– Paint, Write poems /prose, sew, photograph, whatever, just create.
– Doing something fun where you find enjoyment + comfort + peace, will surely bring you so much positivity. Recharge through your comfort activity.

Meditate

-Meditating allows your head to focus, it recharges your thoughts. It allows your mind to escape through silence.
-i recommend the application called ‘Tide’ , it’s a great application for Meditation. It contains soundtracks which you can use to calm and focus.

Do some self care

– Self-Care is everything which arouses pleasure. Reading, watching your favorite film, skin care, warm bath, make up, coffee, eating, taking pictures of yourself.
– it is anything which can be considered a reward.

18 and the Anxiety of growing up.

This is supposed to be a birthday wishlist blog post, but I just thought that I have a lot of things included in my list. So I’d just write something different.

You might be thinking that I just made this blog post today, but it’s not. I wrote it a little earlier, as soon as I got the idea. Ahaha.

When I was a kid, I was honestly not frightened about growing up, I wasn’t desperate to grow up either.
But now that I’m here, and time seems fleeting, I just realized that being grown-up means getting a lot of responsibilities. Especially, the responsibilities that you have to take for yourself.
I am kinda ambitious, and one of my greatest fears is to end up nothing in life.

Chasing life, I found new things that I loved and still love : art, writing, advocating. And even some things I can’t mention in here.

Last year, I just started writing my first novel, and it’s something that I always talk about. I’m still working on it, because I promised that I won’t give up on it.
But there’s this little fear inside me that I may not finish what I’ve started. Or what if no agent would believe and hold on to my ideas. What if publishing companies would not like the storyline?
There’s a lot of questions I can form in my head honestly.

Being 18, means starting college too. But the question is: do I yet know where school to go? No.
Am I already decided with the course I wanna take? No.
And this blog!
With that facts alone, you can already tell how anxious I possibly am.
How worried I am with my future.

I am the kind of person who’s working according to the plans. But if I’ll tell you, my plans aren’t made yet.

But on the bright side of life, I’m still looking for whatever thing it is that I can do for my life. At the end, I don’t know the path in front of me, so I just have to keep going.
Even if there are questions, worries, fears, demotivating moments. Whatever it is.

Why my Blog was so Quiet.


The last time that I posted a Blog was on May 27th. And I am going to tell you why I had to put myself on a hiatus, and show up just now.

The past weeks, social media has been so loud because of the movement you probably know about – The Black Lives Matter movement.
I decided to support that Movement first because c’mon! We need equality. Racism has to stop. And our Black Brothers and Sisters should also be able to live life the way they deserve.

I also became mentally drained, and I felt burned out because I used to stay late at night doing what I can possibly do to help.

Disclaimer : I’m not blaming the movement, It was and it is my initiative to help.

I know I knew what I should prioritize first, and that is to help those who are in need.
So I decided to temporarily stop my blogging game first. And be active on Twitter and Instagram, sign petitions, Send emails, share what I can possibly share. etcetera.

I, then, realize that if it was overwhelming and a little traumatic for me, then what about to those people experiencing racial injustice first hand?

I thought of an Instagram project I wish I can accomplish very soon.
And it’s the #theprojectloveletter.
Anyone can participate, and it’s aim is to make social media a good place for Our Black brothers and Sisters to heal.

Here’s the Truth About Productivity // What to Do When You’re Unproductive?


You wake up at 6:00 AM, expecting yourself to be as motivated as you want to be. But as soon as you finished drinking your half-filled cup of coffee, you don’t anymore know where to begin, or what to do to be productive. Suddenly, you lose your inspiration to work, and you just want to get back to bed and sleep again.

And at 5:00 PM, you’re all exhausted even if you’ve done nothing, and you know you did almost nothing. Your friends told you what they did the entire day : they worked out, baked cookies, tidied their room, organized their closet, and gone for a walk. You feel guilty, and wish you felt inspire to work in the beginning of the day.

That is the common scenarios happening when we all battle with Productivity. We want to do every single thing in one day, but feeling like not moving.

But do we really have to be working every minute? every hour? Every day?
So right now, here’s the truth about productivity :

° It isn’t Consistent

Your motivation to be productive isn’t consistent. The above scenario explains this one. Sometimes, there are days that you wake up totally determined to work and smash your to-do list. But there also are days when all you want to do is to lay on bed, stare on walls, and do nothing but to find your peace.

° It is Sugarcoated by Social Media

Social media has become a place where day to day accomplishments are shared by people. There are instances where you check your Instagram account, and all that you see on ig stories are to-do list with a lot of check marks. You jump on Twitter, and all you see are tweet updates of people you follow about how good they’re doing with their target activities. And we can be sure that it added so much pressure to everyone to be productive everyday when we wake up. Making accomplishments is good, but it does take time too.

° People Only Show their Best Days

This is the sequel of the truth that ‘productivity is sugarcoated by social media‘.
A lot of us wants to radiate positivity all the time, and we want others to witness our best selves. Everyone doesn’t always wake up positively, some days can be odd and a little negative. When a person is being unproductive, there can only be a little chance that he or she will post it online. He or she, or we, are most likely to keep our unproductive days to ourselves. We tend to be quiet and not talk about it at all.

° Productivity can be Forced, but You Shouldn’t Do So.

Even if you’re feeling unmotivated, you can somehow put yourself on work. But I swear, you won’t get the best results. If something is worth your energy, do it. But if one doesn’t, you don’t have to keep pushing, especially when there’s no deadline.
That is why, productivity can be forced, but you shouldn’t do so.

° You Don’t Have to be Productive All the Time

This is the concluding advice of this post. Say it to yourself, ‘I don’t have to be productive all the time.’
You’re not in a competition, where you should be accomplishing more than anyone would expect from you.
If you’re not so well today, why don’t you try tomorrow?

Instead of being guilty, rather put your time on something fun, lighter to do, and useful:

° Read a book
° Go for a walk
° Exercise
° Watch informative films
° Pet your dog, or cat, or whatever that you have.
° Meditate
° Journal
° Listen to Music
° Eat your comfort food
° Edit Photos
° experiment with Make-Up

That might be because you need correct some things with the way you write them.

Any bloggers may post about any topic of their choice, and has different ways to craft them. The pictures, word choices, structuring, making titles, et cetera.
Some writing strategies can be effective, and some might not be.
That is why, in this post, I’m gonna be sharing easy tips To boost the effectiveness of your Blog posts.

Craft Out a Catchy Title

– Catchy titles are essential so readers get fascinated what the post of yours may contain the moment they see the preview of it. It can be a question, or a sentence.
Just by title Alone, your readers will know to themselves if your post is helpful, useful, informative, or not. They will also determine if they really have to read that or flee.

Use Topic-related Pictures

– Using Pictures isn’t new anymore. We use featured images to double up the beauty of our blog posts, and make it more pleasing and more professional.
When using a picture, make sure that it’s topic-related.

If your post is talking about travel, then the photo must showcase travelling too. If you talk about beauty, you must also showcase a beauty-related photo.
Don’t make your featured image ruin the readers impression.

Generate a Reader-Calling Introduction

– Introduction is important in everything. In essays, and other type of technical or academic writing.
Like title, you can also start with a question related to what you’re going to talk about along the post.
Your Intro must give a preview what the readers might find out after reading through.

Don’t be Too Verbose in the Body of Your Blog Post

– The most ineffective Way in writing today is making everything too long, wordy, and full of turns. Avoid that as much as possible, state your main ideas or purpose to be able not to bore the readers, and jump out of your post. However, if you have a lot to share, the post can really get lengthy. Being lengthy on that Case is okay, for as long as you target the key points.

Be Direct to the Point, Use Modern Blog Post Structuring

– most Readers like it when they get what they want out of the post quickly.
They have intention when they read, whether that is the information, or the answer they were expecting you to give. You might as well wanna make sure that they get their intention fast and clearly.
By doing that, they’ll be happy how your blog post turned out, thus coming back for more.
In order to be straightforward, you can use the modern structuring used by bloggers: Bullets, Highlights, or an outline, or the keyword and definition method.

Choose the Right Vocabulary

– Keep in mind that your readers aren’t all the same, and they can also be different from you. You can have adult or teen readers in one post, so be picky with the words that you use.
Make sure that your Vocabulary is easy to understand, Not too deep, not too shallow. Choose words that are Not too ancient, and not too modern. Stick to people’s comfort level.

Use a Moderated Tone in Writing

– As a writer, You wanna sound Professional as possible with the way you structure your sentences, and the way you put your ideas on your post.
Using a moderated tone in writing is your best friend. Be sure that you doesn’t put too much of your belief, don’t be too bias, don’t be insensitive with your readers.
Keep in mind that you doesn’t have to sound as professional as you want. Keep your tone welcoming, kind, but with a twist of being a little technical.

Design your Post

– Designing your post isn’t about being childish. It’s just a strategy of being artistic, and showing your effort to the readers.
To Design, use graphics which are clear and is not distracting. Don’t make it too big to the extent that it’s already outshining your main post.

Make Conclusion

– In making conclusion, you can just make a quick summary of what you stated on the body of your post. It doesn’t have to be too long.
However, some bloggers today doesn’t make conclusions anymore. It’s optional.

End your Post with Question/s, or with a Remarkable Quote.

– Adding questions at the end of your blog is the most effective way to let your readers engage, or comment. It gives your post the ability to be communicative and make your audience connect with you.
– On the other side, adding a remarkable quote simply make your post able to become remarkable as well. It also encourage a certain course of action, especially if you talk about awareness on something.

Let your Readers Feel You’re their Friend

– Readers feel warmth, and more welcome all the time when you make them feel like you’re a friend through your writing. How? Treat your Blog post as if it’s a letter to a friend. After adding a question or a quote, add an ending remark such as ‘hugs’ xoxo’ love’, then add your name. Easy, Right?
